A Spring Conservation Tip, From A Flower To You

Lily pollen

Greetings, I’m a flower ... specifically, a lily.

And although I’m beautiful and humans seek me out for charming bouquets, I also contain a great deal of pollen. And there’s nothing beautiful nor charming about my pollen when it comes to your central air conditioner filters.

When my pollen and other allergens are high, your central air conditioner’s air filters are more likely to get clogged. And so, I have this helpful conservation tip for you:

Please regularly check your air filters during the spring and summer months. When pollen and other allergens are high, filters are more likely to become clogged.

In addition, a variety of everyday airborne debris and household particles can clog your air conditioning filters. The most common culprits include dust, pet hair, cooking grease, and smoke.

Clogged, messy filters are one of the biggest reasons that AC systems overheat and eventually break down in the summer, leaving you temporarily without cooling power.

So, check and replace your filters – and if you need some guidance, call SOC Energy/Service Oil Co. at 717-564-1657.
