There’s something about the crisp fall air, the changing colors of the leaves, and the arrival of some of our favorite holidays that makes us want to start over again.

For many of our customers, that means installing new propane-fired heating equipment. Some of these customers already use propane from SOC Energy and are ready to upgrade their outdated, inefficient equipment. Others are “propane newbies,” ready to enjoy all the advantages of this clean, safe, cost-effective fuel.

Propane is the fuel of choice for many reasons and for many seasons. Our customers use it for home heating and cooking; and as an energy source for generators, water heaters, clothes dryers, fireplaces, barbecues, and portable stoves.

SOC Energy sells and leases propane tanks, and sells tank-related accessories. We also provide assistance with propane generators. In addition, we install and provide services for:

  • Garage heaters
  • Pool heaters
  • Space heaters
  • Gas heaters
  • Fireplace systems and stoves
  • Gas logs
  • Mobile home gas furnaces
  • Residential and commercial furnaces and boilers

Brands recommend and install include, but are not limited to, Empire gas space heaters, log sets and cast-iron heaters; Modine Hot Dawg garage heaters; and Bradford White water heaters for residential and commercial needs. Visit our website for pictures of our recent installations.

By the way, if you’re over the fence about switching to propane, you might be wondering, “Why should I choose propane over electricity for my appliances and for heating my home?”

Here’s why: According to the U.S. Department of Energy, it would cost twice as much to operate your range, water heater, dryer or furnace with electricity than with propane gas. Propane gas furnaces and heaters provide more consistent warm air throughout your home at a lower cost than electric heat pumps and have a longer average life-span of 20 years, compared with electric heat pumps' 12-year average life-span.

Now that you know a little more about propane and about the propane services that SOC Energy offers, give us a call at 717-564-1657 or contact us. We’ll get you in touch with one of our propane pros who will help you choose equipment that meets your needs and budget.
